# Zeltru > Independent tracker of US job postings, read from employers' own career > pages. Employer posting dates describe posting age, not collection freshness. > Saved active records can persist during failed or incomplete collections and > do not confirm a recent successful check. > > Currently tracking 558,901 postings across 1,293 companies with employer-supplied posting dates. Figures describe saved active records, grouped by employer posting age. That is a composition, not a survival rate: it describes the recorded population, not what share of postings close within a given number of days. Counts cover postings that carry an employer-supplied date and are not flagged as evergreen or continuous-hiring, which is a subset of everything tracked. ## Core data - [US job market, November 2026](https://www.zeltru.com/us-job-market): this month's US job postings on employers' own careers sites, updated every night: how many are listed, what changed since the night before, which employers list the most, and how long postings have been listed, each figure stated with its date and population. This address always shows the current month. Each month is fixed at its own address, https://www.zeltru.com/us-job-market/YYYY-MM, once it ends. - [How long job postings stay listed](https://www.zeltru.com/how-long-do-job-postings-stay-open): median posting age, the full duration distribution, and a breakdown by industry, with the methodology and stated limitations on the same page. - [Job posting statistics](https://www.zeltru.com/job-posting-statistics): the citable reference figures — median posting age, the share listed 90 days or longer, and the size of the dataset behind them, each stated with the population it is measured over. - [Posting age leaderboard](https://www.zeltru.com/posting-age-leaderboard): current eligible public postings with employer dates. Weekly archives retain company aggregate counts and ranks; individual historical examples and private history are withheld. - [Companies with the longest-listed postings](https://www.zeltru.com/longest-open): employers ranked by how much of their board has been listed 90 days or longer. ## The Zeltru Report - [The Zeltru Report](https://www.zeltru.com/reports): the monthly research edition. Each edition's figures are frozen at capture, with the method and its checks against employers' boards on the page. - [The Zeltru Report, Edition No. 1](https://www.zeltru.com/reports/2026-09): the August 2026 edition: job posting statistics measured from employers' own careers boards (posting age, time to removal, and cuts by industry, applicant tracking system and geography), frozen at publication. - [The Zeltru Report, Edition No. 2](https://www.zeltru.com/reports/2026-10): the October 2026 edition, with its method frozen before capture. ## Answers Plain answers to job-search questions, each built from the measured figures and each saying what the data cannot show. - [All answers](https://www.zeltru.com/answers) - [How long does it take to hear back after applying?](https://www.zeltru.com/answers/how-long-to-hear-back-after-applying): Nobody can measure an employer's reply from outside. What can be measured is how long the posting lasts. - [Why am I not hearing back from jobs?](https://www.zeltru.com/answers/why-am-i-not-hearing-back-from-jobs): How much of what is listed right now has been listed for a very long time, and what that does and does not explain. - [What does it mean when a job posting is taken down after an interview?](https://www.zeltru.com/answers/job-posting-taken-down-after-interview): How old postings are when they come down, how often they come back, and why removal is not a decision. - [How can I tell if a job listing has been reposted?](https://www.zeltru.com/answers/how-to-tell-if-a-job-listing-was-reposted): How to check whether a listing came back as a new posting, how often a new one with the same title follows, and what that can't tell you. - [How can I track a company's job listings?](https://www.zeltru.com/answers/how-to-track-a-companys-job-listings): Its careers site, its page on Zeltru, following it for new postings, and watching a job you applied to. - [How many applications does it take to get a job?](https://www.zeltru.com/answers/how-many-applications-to-get-a-job): We cannot answer this one, and we say why. What we can show you is the size and staleness of what is listed. - [Does the date on a job posting mean what it says?](https://www.zeltru.com/answers/what-does-a-posting-date-mean): Most boards publish the date a listing went up. One publishes the date its record was created, and we mistook the two on our own homepage. - [How can I find when a job was first posted?](https://www.zeltru.com/answers/how-to-find-when-a-job-was-first-posted): Where to look for a posting's date, what that date can and can't tell you, and how to check how long it has been up. - [What does it mean when a job posting stays up for months?](https://www.zeltru.com/answers/what-does-a-long-listed-posting-mean): How long a posting has been listed can be measured. Why it is still up cannot. Here is the duration, and where the line sits. - [How long does the hiring process take?](https://www.zeltru.com/answers/how-long-does-the-hiring-process-take): Posting lifespan is a floor on hiring time, not a measure of it. The difference matters and is explained. - [What can a job posting's age tell you?](https://www.zeltru.com/answers/what-can-a-postings-age-tell-you): Why a posting is still up is not observable from a careers page. How long it has been up is. What the duration data supports, and what it does not. - [Why is a job still posted after I was rejected?](https://www.zeltru.com/answers/job-still-posted-after-rejection): How long listings stay up before they come down, measured, and why a listing that is still up says nothing about your application. - [How long should a job posting stay up?](https://www.zeltru.com/answers/how-long-should-a-job-posting-stay-up): There is no standard. What employers actually do, from the postings we watched come down, without a recommendation. - [Which US states have the most job postings?](https://www.zeltru.com/answers/which-states-have-the-most-job-postings): Active postings by state on employers' own careers sites, with a link to every state's job board. ## Browse - [Companies](https://www.zeltru.com/companies): every tracked employer, searchable, each with its own posting record and dated figures. - [Job board](https://www.zeltru.com/jobs): current postings with the employer's published date and the measured days listed, filterable by location. - [Jobs by location](https://www.zeltru.com/jobs/locations): the US states and cities with enough postings for a job page of their own. - [Job posting checker](https://www.zeltru.com/job-posting-checker): paste a posting's link to see how long it has been listed, from the employer's own board. - Per-company: https://www.zeltru.com/company/{slug} answers "Is {company} hiring?" and "Where is {company} hiring?" from the postings on that employer's own careers site, with the date they were read, for employers we track. ## About the data - [Methodology](https://www.zeltru.com/methodology): where each posting's date comes from, how often boards are re-checked, what is excluded and why. - [How we checked](https://www.zeltru.com/how-we-checked): aggregate findings from an audit of posting dates against job boards, including match rates and limitations. Individual audit cases are withheld. - [About](https://www.zeltru.com/about): what Zeltru is, who publishes it, and what it does not claim. - [Changelog](https://www.zeltru.com/changelog): dated record of what changed on the site, newest first. ## Feeds - [Weekly snapshots](https://www.zeltru.com/feed): RSS linking to dated weekly company aggregate statistics. Individual historical examples are withheld. - Per-company: https://www.zeltru.com/company/{slug}/feed — RSS of one company's currently-listed postings, with how long each has been listed. Available for companies we hold tracked posting data for; 404 otherwise, rather than an empty feed. ## Citing Aggregate figures are free to cite with attribution. The numbers on the pillar page are also available as CSV at https://www.zeltru.com/posting-duration.csv, which reads the same source, so a citation and the page cannot disagree. Underlying postings are not republished: they belong to the employers who posted them. Last computed 2026-11-07T23:25:00.044881+00:00.
