Zeltru reads public job boards
Zeltru reads the public job boards of the employers it tracks and keeps their current listings, with the posting date each board gives.

The checker looks for the posting among the listings Zeltru already has. It doesn't open the link or contact the employer.

You see the posting's age beside its company's
If it finds the posting, you see how long it has been open, counted from the employer's posting date, and the company's median posting age, as of Zeltru's last read of that board.
Questions
- What does “open N days” mean?
- It is counted from the posting date the employer's job board gives. When the board gives no date, the checker says “Posting date unavailable” instead of estimating one.
- Does “listed at Zeltru's last read” mean the job is still open?
- No. It means the posting was on the employer's public job board when Zeltru last read it, on the date the result shows. The employer's own page is the authority on whether the job is open.
- Why didn't the checker find my posting?
- Zeltru tracks many employers but not all of them, and the link has to be the full HTTPS link to one job posting. A posting can also be new or changed since Zeltru last read that employer's board. A posting that isn't found isn't necessarily closed.
- What is the company's median posting age?
- Half of the company's current postings that carry an employer posting date have been open that long or longer. It is shown when the company has at least five dated open postings.
- Can a posting's age tell me why it is still listed?
- No. Postings stay listed for many ordinary reasons, and how long a posting has been up can't show which one applies.
- Does the employer find out that I checked?
- No. Zeltru never contacts employers, and the checker never opens the link you paste. It only compares the link with listings Zeltru already has.
- Does it cost anything or need an account?
- No. The job posting checker is free and needs no account.
